DETAILSThe Rolling Stones' debut album is full of inspired performances, largely covers of blues and a few rock songs as well. There were a few originals and one genuine Jagger/Richards composition, but the one thing this record has is energy. Mick has already his focused bluesy singing voice intact, and the backing rhythm section of Richards, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman, and Charlie Watts prove to be anything but your typical rock band.
