THE ROLLING STONES-THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST 1967 LONDON RECORDS 3-D GATEFOLD COVER NPS-2 IN A SOLID VG(cover)-STRONG VG+ CONDITION. MOSTLY CLEAN VINYL!! The 8th studio release from the mighty Rolling Stones in this auction and if you are expecting the same blues rock fare, then you would be sadly mistaken. The record was the band's attempt to play the sounds of the day and in the UK, psychedelic rock. For the large part it's a home run as the band included such classics as She's A Rainbow, 2000 Light Years From Home, In Another Land & 2000 Man. All fans of the band, the genre or the sounds of the late 60's need this one in their collection, it's a keeper!!
The record is in an easy VG+ condition with just a very small, very light scuff on each side neither of which hampers play at all, plays well throughout. I do suggest a "real" cleaning as I do not have those solutions here but that is just a suggestion as the record plays well as I stated, throughout. The story of the album is of course the famed 3-D gatefold cover and the description on that goes like this: there is a 2" mouth split & a punch hole in the lower right hand corner(see picture), mild wear along the edges and minor rubs on the spine corners. The original inner sleeve has the same punch hole and a tiny split. A terrific buy!!
