• A strong original copy of this US Sanfransisco Bay Heavy Psych/Garage Rock album. Obscure for a major label record? An interesting question.. there's real promise in there them grooves, I like this LP! The band were so young and had a bunch of pretty well crafted songs, with a youthful punky exuberance delivered with some hard psychedelic rock with dual lead guitar riffs. I guess their bluesier numbers leaned more into classic psych which is why this album seems an obscure mix at times. It does make sense though and a worthwhile addition for sure. Their influences certainly caught Mercury's ear and it's a shame they didn't go on to fulfil their real potential.
• Disc grades overall ex- (excellent minus). visually ex- as it has been played but only shows paper hairlines and no heavy scratches. The record plays through a strong ex- and only because of the odd crackle between tracks and some very low background noise hear and there has it been downgraded from ex. There was nothing bad affecting play. Play reveals driving hard psych rock sounds mixed with some very nice mellower blusier psych numbers to clam you down; coming through nice and clear! The record is clean overall.
• The cover is in overall fantastic condition and would be easily graded a strong ex but for two small punch out holes in the bottom left corner which are hardly noticeable. I have downgraded to ex- because of the punch out holes. The cover is clean with no ring wear, tears, writing or creases. The spine is still intact and the edges look crisp with only the slightest of corner wear. Please see photographs... check that tripped out psychedelic montage to twist your mind! Look, it's all swirly and multicoloured with an accent of renaissance motifs ..I think that's pretty cool really; sums up what's inside ..a band with some great contrasting ideas.
• The labels are clean and clear with no spindle marks.
• EXTRA : This is a very nice piece of 60's prog into psych and one which is increasingly in demand.
