THE SAVAGE RESURRECTION s/t original psychedelic fuzz bomb!

1967/USA/Mercury SR 61156……Here’s a clean ORIGINAL pressing of this excellent psychedelic fuzz lp. The colorful psychedelic cover is in Excellent condition, there is a tiny delete hole bottom right corner, bottom right corner has been bumped and has light corner wearand about ¼” wear on bottom seam there, right top corner is lightly bumped/wear and a bit of paper is gone right at the top of the spine, the cover has virtually no wear, splits or other issues and looks gorgeous. The vinyl is in Excellent condition with some light inaudible storage stains from the inner sleeve, there is also one very light small inaudible mark. The record plays great with little noise. The labels are clean with no wear or spindle marks. A gorgeous original pressing of this heavy fuzz psych lp. Please check my auctions for other psych lp’s. Good luck and thanks for looking!

The Savage Resurrection were a psychedelic rock band from the San Francisco Bay area and were active in between 1967 and 1968. The band were known as one of the youngest psychedelic rock bands in the area with their 16 year-old lead guitarist Randy Hammon who is Paul Whaley's cousin. Founded in 1967, the group was signed to the major label Mercury Records, on which they released their eponymous debut in 1968. Their album was produced by Abe "Voco" Kesh who is famous with his work with the band Blue Cheer and Harvey Mandel. Their sound was close to groups such as Love and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Singer Bill Harper and bassist Steve Lage quit the band shortly thereafter, leading to the demise of the group.[1] The band continued on touring until late 1968 and then disbanded.[1]

Nick Saloman of The Bevis Frond has cited the Savage Resurrection as one of his biggest influences, and in October 2008 performed a live set with guitarist Randy Hammon. There was some suspicion that Randy Hammon was actually legendary guitarist Randy Holden due to some citing that was done in Joe Carducci's book The Pop Narcotic; this seems to be a misconception.

MINT: as stated with no defects

M- OR NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much

VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition, I also play grade the records on high end equipment and will give an honest play grade as well as visual grade, considering the number of records I buy on line my grading is very conservative and fair.
