The collector I am selling this item for has provided the following information:
"These particular autographs were obtained in 1994. The album belonged to the late Ray Stewart who was a DJ for Radio Hallam FM in Sheffield. The late Ray Stewart collected everything and anything to do with pop music and specialised in Jimi Hendrix. Ray Stewart had the pleasure of meeting Jimi Hendrix on a  number of occasions."

Hello. I have received some questions from potential buyers and I have obtained some further information, which will be contained in the letter of providence, from the collector.


These particular five autographs of the sex pistols and their manager were obtained over a period of time. They were obtained personally by Ray Stewart after personally meeting and interviewing the members and the manager of the band. A little bit more insight into Ray Stewart. My father was the manager of the band of which Ray Stewart was the lead singer. The band were called "Frankenstein and the monsters" who were on the music scene in the 60's. The reason the band were named this is due to the appearance of Ray Stewart, who looked and was built like Frankenstein. Ray used to drink in the Shakespeare Inn "Shaky" in Sheffield, and he lived with his wife Viv on Foster street.

Q: The sleeve is only in fair condition yet the signatures look brand new and if they were obtained over a period of time why are they all in the same pen? Reason i'm asking is because I have a full set of Pistols autographs obtained by myself at the Stowaway Newport Shropshire and these look totally fake.

Q: I notice you didn't include my querie on your item page. I'll be very interested to hear what this so called collector has to say and just so you know I used to run a Sex Pistols fan base and know Steve Jones and Paul Cook very well indeed.
A: Hi Again. I apologise for the wait, I had to wait for the collector to respond to my call. This record came out of Ray Stewart's personal collection. This particular record was on his wall in his studio. There is some wear to the edges. There are some marks to the right hand side and a white spot where a label was. Although you say they are all signed in the same pen, I cannot confirm this. All I can confirm is that they are signed in black ink. You state that you personally know two of the band member's, I feel sure they will be in a position to confirm if they have indeed ever signed an LP cover for Ray Stewart. I have no reason to doubt their authenticity. I hope this helps. Kind regards.
