Description
This is an auction for a EP by, The Shadows, The Shadows At The Colosseum, Johannesburg.
This was released by Columbia records in 1961 and has catalogue number SEGJ11014. This was one of only one thousand and was pressed in South Africa. Please check the pictures for clarification.
Condition: This comes with a plastic outer sleeve which is stickered grading this at Ex / Mint. I don't agree with the grading, details as follows.
The sleeve has three small tears, pictured, along the rear bottom edge. These small tears are only on the very surface and have not worn through the top rear layer, meaning there is no damage to the front or bottom edge. Otherwise in fine condition and graded at a realistic VG+.
Both labels look clean and new, Under closer examination, two or three tiny spindle trails can just be seen on each side. The centre hole does have a touch of wear on side A. Please check the pictures fine labels.
The vinyl retains its new shine and looks clean, Under a strong light a few feather scratches and one very faint scuff mark can just be seen. I have test played this through both sides and found the audio to be superb. Playing with very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Other than a few quiet crackles this sounds new. No distortion, fading or dragging and not appearing to suffer from anny reduction in sound quality due to wear. The vinyl for this is graded at Near Mint.
Not quite upto the stickers information, but certainly a very nice collectable and a rare one at that.
