Extremely Rare and Sought after Pakistani 78rpm by The Shadows pressed on the Columbia Label by the Gramophone Company of Pakistan. Details about this record are scarce as is the record itself, there is very limited information out there. Numbers of Western artists Records pressed by the Gramophone Company of Pakistan were usually low and mainly targeted at and desirable to ex-pats who still wanted to be able to purchase and listen to the music of their time and generation. The likelihood as with most of the Pakistani pressings is that they were pressed for a very short period before the well documented turbulence between Pakistan and India after which things took a turn for the worst and these records stopped being pressed at all. Here's your chance to get your hands on a piece of history, a real HOLY GRAIL item! Details: THE SHADOWS - 78 RPM / 10" (1961). TITLES: KON TIKI / 36-24-36. CATALOGUE NUMBER: KCF-65. LABEL: COLUMBIA (BLUE/GOLD LABEL). MANUFACTURED IN PAKISTAN BY THE GRAMOPHONE COMPANY OF PAKISTAN. Condition: Visual: VG Audio: VG+ Visible marks and superficial scratches. Record still has plenty of lustre, labels look clean with little signs of wear. There's an inscription on the dead wax of someone's name? as show in the scan.
