THE SHANGRI-LAS     "THE SHANGRI-LAS"    RED BIRD RB 20-101  MONO   1965

Here it is....THE GREATEST GIRL GROUP OF ALL-TIME.....Their debut album...featuring "Leader of the Pack",  "Remember (Walking in the Sand)", "Give Him a Great Big Kiss" and "Shout"....WOW !!!!    The group was formed at Andrew Jackson High school in NYC in 1963 and with their first two discs established themselves as Queens of the tuff street-wise girl singers even though they were underage at the time of their early recordings... The lavish productions were of course the work of mastermind Shadow  Morton.  The girls also handled some pretty fine covers of "Twist & Shout", "Maybe", "So Much in Love" and "You can't Sit Down", twelve songs in all....They had no Peers !!!! But the show only last a few brief years but Man, what Killer Stuff Here ...Give me a Great Big Kiss !!!!

RECORD: Strong VG+  High Gloss, no spindle wear,  just a few lite scuffs and tiny marks...real Nice

COVER:Strong VG+   Excellent condition except for some generalized minor cover wearnd  few small seam scuffs at the top BUT  No ring wear, writings, stains, stickers, cut outs, seam splits or other damage
