THE SMALL FACES - " OGDEN'S NUT GONE FLAKE ", Immediate Records/NEMS (IML 1001) 1968/1975.
This is the very rare 1975 NEMS re-issue of the landmark 1968 psychedelic album by The Small Faces.
Obviously not as rare as the '68 original, but still hard to find and very well pressed... plus it retains the original novelty circular sleeve. Additionally, the last 1st pressing of the '68 LP I sold went for over £300, so this '75 pressing would make a more affordable option for someone out there.
Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine.
CONDITION:
VINYL = EXCELLENT- CONDITION (No deep scratches, no groove damage, little or no spindle trails, etc. In normal daylight it looks perfect, but under a bright grading lamp I can make out a few faint hairline marks just visible on the vinyl's surface - although none of these just visible marks correspond directly to any audible defects. That said, on playback, there is some very faint surface noise audibile during the silent run-in and some of the spoken word sections at the begining of tracks. However, once the music kicks in, all such defects become a distant memory and the songs plays loud, clear and strong - free from distortion, clicks, pops, surface noise, etc. Providing you are prepared to accept that you are listening to a 37 year old record and not a sterile, lifeless CD then you should be perfectly happy with this particular copy of this great LP. Those looking for a museum piece would probably do best to look elsewhere, but for those after a good honest copy of a great record at a reasonable price, to play and enjoy... this could be the one for you.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = EXCELLENT (No serious damage - no tears, no rips, no big creases, no defacing, no ring-wear, etc All sections are still attached/connected. Just a bit of light genaral wear - see photos for further clarification)
