The Smiths
The Hand That Rocks The Cradle
Rare Unofficial LP of 1st album Demos
TRASH RECORDS TR7
Very rare LP of The Smiths' abandoned attempt at their debut album. The tracks on this LP are unreleased demo versions recorded in 1983 with Troy Tate for the first album. These tracks were never officially released but did find their way onto the market via this unofficial Tracsh Records Release, and this item is understandably heavily sought after by Smiths - Morrissey Collectors
The sound quality is good, not what might be expected of an unofficial LP of unreleased material. The production however, is nowhere near as polished as the versions eventually released by the band.
Record comes in an attractively presented cover and the track listing along with 'For Promotional Use Only' is printed on the back. The labels on the record itself are blank circles - plain blue. The inner sleeve is plain white with a die cut gap through which the plain blue circles are visible.

2. You've Got Everything Now
3. Miserable Lie
4. These Things Take Time
5. Wonderful Woman

10. Suffer Little Children - 11. Pretty Girls make Graves

NEAR MINT: The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any inserts are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: The record shows very little sign of being played, and there is very little lessening in sound quality, although some slight marking or sign of use/handling may be visible. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding , scuffing of edges , spine splits, discolouration , etc.
