Purchased USED from a fellow collector. He owned it for years and had it stored in a PLASTIC BAG. He believed it was the Second Issue released.
This is a MONARCH RECORD MANUFACTURING COMPANY with the ARTISAN LOGO in the runout.  Matrix Side One is (triangle) 14960 (0 with a slash through it) EKS 74071 A  RE  MON  (MR in a circle) (Artisan snare Logo) Matrix Side Two is (triangle) 14960 - X (2 in a circle)  EKS 74071 - B (MR in a circle) (Artisan snare Logo)
Labels are the BUTTERFLY on MARBLED BACKGROUND.  This is a GATEFOLD cover and has a CUT-OUT hole in the front left bottom corner (see picture). There is some light "ring wear" on the front and back covers (see pictures). Top and bottom front left and back right corners have a slight crease (see pictures). There is some wear along the front spline edge by the "ooges" in Stooges (see picture). Front bottom right corner edge has some wear (see picture) and small area on back top has a small spot of wear (see picture). Album access edge shows minor wear in a couple of spots. Lettering is centered on spline.
Inner paper sleeve is an Elektra logo sleeve. It has a split on the bottom edge and sports a CUT-OUT drill hole. It is in pretty good shape for it's age. Some slight creasing (see pictures)
Vinyl is in good shape but has two (one long and one short) visible scratches on Side B. May have some noise from them. The rest is some light "surface scuffing " and light "surface scratching " also visible.  I HAVE NEVER PLAYED THIS RECORD.  Labels are the marbled butterfly and look good. My fellow collector has a small light rubber stamped "Lovejoy" on both labels (see pictures) to identify his ownership.

The Stooges, originally billed as the Psychedelic Stooges, and also known as Iggy and the Stooges, were an American rock band formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1967 by singer Iggy Pop (James Newell Osterberg), guitarist Ron Asheton, drummer Scott Asheton, and bassist Dave Alexander. Initially playing a raw, primitive style of rock and roll, the band sold few records in their original incarnation and gained a reputation for their confrontational performances, which often involved acts of self-mutilation by Iggy Pop.

After releasing two albums – The Stooges (produced by John Cale) (1969) and Fun House (1970) – the group disbanded briefly and reformed with an altered lineup (with Ron Asheton replacing Dave Alexander on bass and James Williamson taking up guitar) to release a third album, Raw Power (1973), before breaking up again in 1974. The band reunited in 2003 with Ron Asheton moving back to guitar and Mike Watt on bass, and the addition of saxophonist Steve Mackay, who had played saxophone on Fun House. Ron Asheton died in 2009 and was replaced by James Williamson, and the band continued to play shows until 2013, when they also released their last album, Ready to Die. The Stooges formally announced their breakup in 2016 due to the deaths of Scott Asheton and saxophonist Steve Mackay.

The Stooges are widely regarded as a seminal proto-punk act. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked them 78th on their list of the 100 greatest artists of all time.  In 2007, they were awarded the Mojo Lifetime Achievement Award at the Mojo Awards.
