I started collecting records of value seriously in 1978. In all that time I have

only ever seen 2 copies of this mythical Australian dream of a pressing.

Not only is this the rarest original pressing of this MONUMENTAL LP.

I think it is by far and away the best pressing Elektra ever made.

Better than the USA version, better than both the hideously UNDERVALUED

and ULTRA RARE 1970 UK large white E original, and the equally

UNDERVALUED and ULTRA RARE UK Butterfly 1970 original.

Its even better than those USA radio station promos. Its even better than the

ridiculassly rare and hugely UNDERVALUED Jap pressings of this great LP.

Who wouldn't agree with that ?

Condition.

Does it really matter ?

SURELY on such rare occasions like this,condition is totally

transcended by rarity and opportunity. But here it is anyway....

The sleeve has edge ware and corner ware, visable if you double click the pictures.

The spine has a bit of damage but you can still read all the writing and its only

the start of the word The, that has fault, the T is missing. The back of the sleeve

has ring ware. So considering the impossibility of finding another copy.

This is in totally beautiful condition.

The lables.

Those beautiful Elektra blue butterfly lables. TOTALLY AMAZING.

45 nearly 46 years old. How are they so clean? Yeah on side 2 someone

has very faintly written a number but so what ?Hardly noticeable.

I think this is the best looking record lable in the world.

I thought Spiral Vertigo was the best looking lable until I saw this beauty.

The vinyl.

Both sides have a few tiny hairlines only visable under a bright light,

but they really have no affect at all on the playing. It plays totally without

problems.No jumps, no sticking, and no skipping. It plays a good 9 out of 10,

the vinyl looks and plays in an excellent order.

What an amazing LP this is.

Without a doubt, the angriest most ferotious LP ever made.

It should have a universal safety warning on it.

Don't drive while listening to Funhouse, its dangerous you cant drive slow!

Its in my will, T.V.Eye is being played at my funeral.

I first heard this after the punk era in late 1978

after what I thought was my musical awakening.

After punk I thought id seen and heard and knew it all, ya know ,

nothing can surprise me now!

I first thought Funhouse was just a bunch of insane noise, but then I had

my real musical awakening.

When I finally "GOT IT", this LP condenced everything I thought I knew about

music. Over the years I must have bought 50 or 60 copies of this, just to give

away to friends and music fans who I wanted to go through the same musical

awakening that I had gone through. Ive had too many copies given back with

"what the hell is that shit all about ?" I don't understand people who don't

get this LP, there hollow, they have no soul.

About 20 years ago I used to play The Stooges and Funhouse at work just to

shock people (this record still shocks 45 years after it was made) and this

16 year old kid who was working for me (hi Mike) said

"Hey Alan, put that mad record on".

So I  picked up the Stooges 1st album on cd and started to play it.

Mike said "NO, Not this one, that mad one that sounds like people are being hacked

to death on it".

To this day ive never heard a better description of Funhouse.

Lester Bangs could not have said it any better.

So here it is.

To me Funhouse is the best LP that was ever made by anyone.

This is certainly the best pressing of that now classic LP .

If you don't agree with that,then here is one FACT that you just

can`t get away from.
