THE STRANGLERS - BLACK AND WHITE - GERMAN ISSUE ALBUM + INNER LYRIC BAG.
Fantastic German pressing of the Black and White album from one of the most creative and menacing punk band's of all time.
The Stranglers just didn't care, in true punk style they crashed from late 70's punk rock into the 80's new romantic scene and beyond, never compromising and ever changing while retaining their devoted fan base.
They upset the moral majority with their Duchess video, graced top of the pops more times than I care to remember and just kept on going.
This third album from the band caught critics and fans alike off guard it was the start of a new direction for the band and is crammed full of songs that became fan faves.
The album captures the strange dark and brooding energy of the original band and features some unique , different and essential recordings performed by the classic lineup, the Stranglers were always interesting that's for sure.
A couple of changes with the sleeve for the German market, a round Band name and Album title is added top left and the song titles are also printed on the rear so quite different to its UK counterpart.
The inner lyric bag is printed on thin paper with an anti static inner glued inside, the glue spots are evident more on the white side but it's not too distracting.
The sleeve itself is in very good condition for its age with some minor age related storage wear, the lyric inner bag is excellent condition considering how thin it is.
The vinyl retains a good sheen and looks as though it will play no problems, there are just a couple of very light surface hairlines that shouldn't affect play.
A very decent playable rare German import copy of a must have Stranglers album for any serious Stranglers / Punk rock collector.
