Description

Released at the height of the punk era this a superb copy of ‘The Stranglers’ seminal first album. It is from my personal collection and has rarely been played. As usual I will provide an honest assessment of the quality of the album and cover etc. Having played graded the album I can confidently classify it as NM as there are no pops, hisses or scratches and an extremely low level of surface noise throughout. The album was produced by Martin Rushent and, following the .UK issue of 10,000 copies with the bonus single, has the internal picture sleeve. The outer cover is unmarked and crease free and there is only a very minimal sign of wear is on the spine with the title still fully legible (please see photo). The inner sleeve is completely unmarked and is as good as the day it was made. The inner picture liner with die cut radius corners and the vinyl labels have the ‘sunburst rat’ design. This is a variant one of the first pressing, details as follows: Matrix/Runout (Side One) UAG 30045 A-1U JONZ Matrix/Runout (Side Two) UAG 30045 B-1U The runouts are stamped excluding the etched JONZ engraved on the A side.
