THE STROKES - FACTORY TEST PRESSING ON ROOM ON FIRE - JULIAN CASABLANCAS ADVANCE COPY
**Re-listed due to non-paying bidder**  This is the genuine Rough Trade factory test pressing of the album Room On Fire. This one was obtained from a friend in the music industry in New York.  It has the correct stamped factory matrix numbers: 
Side 1: RTRADLP 130A2
Side 2: RTRADLP 130B2
The record is super heavy, it feels at least 180-220g, the subsequent standard pressing on Rough Trade wouldn't have been this heavy. This is clean and unplayed my me. I'll be conservative and grade it as Ex+. The absolute coolest thing about this test pressing is that there is a message from the Rough Trade or pressing plant staff (shown in pictures) detailing how this particular copy was meant to go straight to Julian Casblancas of The Strokes. I'm not sure if he received it or not, however I did pick it up in New York a few years ago so it definitely made the journey across the pond from the UK (where it was made) to the USA, so I'd guess it got to him at some point. Whatever the case this is your chance to grab it in a one off auction. It also has 'T/P Only' written on the other side along with some other bits & pieces. I've included close-ups of the matrix stampers.

I am offering registered international air mail shipping to the winner at $35, not the $4 advertised by eBay, so please wait to be invoiced with the CORRECT postage amount of $35 before paying. For some reason eBay caps postage at $4 but it is impossible to send it this cheaply from Australia. I have been told by Australia Post to allow for 14-21 days to reach overseas destinations. (Although it usually takes about 10 working days to the U.S. from Oz.)
