THE SUNLINERS: "Land of nod" bw "Well one" (MGM Dj PROMO copy K13809) 1969
From Detroit, this outfit later changed their name to Rare Earth after recording this single on MGM. "Land Of Nod" is a superb club dancer psychedelic number, full of fuzz and 'out there' lyrics and "Well One" is a powerful funky instrumental with a really forceful and hypnotic bass line, some searing guitar and backward vocals listen a sample of the two songs clicking HERE!. A rare and sought after record. Both sides has been compiled on "Garagelands" and "Buzz Buzz Buzzzzzz"
Someone of these tunes was classics in the disappeared Peppermint weekend, this month it ought to celebrated the sixth edition, but unfortunately there is not a venue where do it, like a small tribute you can visit www.micifuzz.com/smart and find a little summary and photos of the fifth and last edition
