Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

UK 1st Earliest -1 RED LABEL Pressing LP  - RARE FRONT LAMINATED SLEEVE

An outstanding 'ARCHIVED' example of this very collectable classic LP. SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT FIRST PRESSING..THis LP is impossible to find without wear and damge.

THE VINYL   MINT-   INCREDIBLE CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the highly prized 1st UK pressing with the -1 -1 matrix numbers on each side, confirming this is the very first pressing. Finding this LP anywhere in any condition is super hard to do, the rare ocassion we see one it is always damaged and scratched. THIS COPY IS QUITE AMAZING!

This first SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT pressing is a PRISITNE vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We rarely see copies of this LP at all, let alone like this.

The centre hole shows a couple of tiny light spindle skate lines only, the holes remain tight with no wear.

Under a very bright light you can see there are a few tiny light whisp lines AND THATS ALL. Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..

There is no damage or wear to either side or anything which spoils the play. We feel it is evident this LP simply has not been played for a very very long time. We played the whole album through and it was nothing short of amazing. No jumps hisses or unwanted noise..The whole sound is huge and rich and exactly how you want to listen to this spectacular recording

THE LABELS   MINT    Both are superb condition, original matt labels with no damage or writing

THE SLEEVE     EX+  strong

Correct LAMINATED FRONT ONLY first issued 'Garrod & Lofthouse' earliest sleeve  -with  'pinched ends' on the spine. Later presses were unlaminated

This whole sleeve is in SUPERB condition with very little signs of wear 

FRONT SLEEVE- All the edges are all super clean with  all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition. The lamination is gleaming like a mirror and there is no bubbling  down the edge -Just a couple of little spider lines over the edges. The laminate is pulled very tight creating the slight 'bowed' effect on the top edge, typcial of all laminated sleeves from this era..

Some very light ring press, and the open edge is superb clean with no laminate feathering.

The spine edge is slightly discoloured (but cleanable) all legends are perfectly readable, just a couple of tiny spider lines over the edge

BACK SLEEVE- Super white, no lamination except the 'tab' over the spine. Some very light discolour only, this is very minimal and really this is the whitest sleeve we have seen by far..no writing on it (again most we have seen have childrens writing and names added etc!) Some very light ring press only.

WE CLARIFY BY SAYING, THIS SLEEVE IS SIMPLY OUTSTANDING QUALITY.

THE INNER SLEEVE   EX

Original PRINTED MFP sleeve, some light creases, and the edges have 'browned' - clearly through storage, which does confirm how little this LP ha seen the light of day in the last 43 years!!
