From 1969, out of New York, comes The Tea Company with their album Come And Have Some Tea With The Tea Company on Smash SRS67105. Scarce seven track album of psych music. All are originals except for their version of the song You Keep Me Hanging On. The Tea Company. several years earlier were a New York garage band known as The Naturals. The cuts here are The Naturals cuts with psychedelic effects, such as water-sound effects. The band featured Frankie Carr, who released the original Naturals cuts in the mid 70s on the private press album Frankie Carr's All Natural Band. This is an enjoyable album, particularly the cut Love Could Make The World Go Round, in which Lennon & McCartney of The Beatles are mentioned. I would like to talk to Frankie Carr to find out how The Naturals became The Tea Company! Excellent psych album that never got its dies because it was on a major label.
