PONTIAC CONTEST IN THE BACK!---- GeeTO Tiger by The Tigers on Colpix CP-773 (gold label)(picture sleeve) The GeeTO Tiger (gold label version) was released in 1965 and has a notation on the label “Technical Consultant: Car Craft Magazine”. This record came in a single (as opposed to the Pontiac give-away fold-out) picture sleeve. The front on the sleeve features the 1965 GTO convertible with The Tigers singing group. The reverse side of the sleeve announces a contest sponsored by Hurst. The grand prize was a 1965 Pontiac GTO with Hurst accessories. GeeTO Tiger by The Tigers on Colpix SPEC-773 (white label)(picture sleeve) The GeeTO Tiger was a handout in Pontiac dealerships in 1965. Your Pontiac dealer paid $8.75 for 25 copies. Pontiac Tiger Promotional Materials form SP2134 listed this record, as well as a host of other GTO promotional material. This record came in a fold-out picture sleeve graced by the tiger head and skin covering the hood of a 1965 GTO. The inside of the sleeve feature pictures of the 4-speed shifter, TI, a winding road, a burning red-line, and the obligatory tri-power. The reverse of the sleeve has a picture of The Tigers group (Barry Hockenberger, Neal Moser, Jerry Cervenka, Enzo Piazza, and John Anderson) with a yellow 1965 GTO convertible. This record is a white label and is differentiated from the other version (gold label) by the number SPEC-773 as opposed to the gold label CP-773.price rating
