Up for auction I have the rare and very collictible original pressing of THE TREND 45.
The Trend were a trio of high school kids from Pennellville and North Syracuse who formed one of the best pop garage punk bands to come out of upstate Central New York / maybe the whole USA. They played their Peavey gear at Syracuse University mixers and local punk new wave clubs. Their dads had to pick them up when they were done playing!
They put out 2 vinyl records, a 45 and a LP, both great! Full of sarcastic clever suburban teen angst and irritation. This is the only 45, recorded on a skipped day from 11th grade. And catchy tunes too! They have been reissued together as an italian import. The song BAND AID was included on the Killed by Death, KBD #10 compilation. http://www.breakmyface.com/bands/trend.html
But this is the real deal! The one everyone wants. Original pressing of the 7" 45. On the Flashcubes' Northside Label.
Condition: Excellent condition. I probably only played it once or twice at the most. Record is very shiny and unscratched. Cheap paper they used for the sleeve is a little faded. Overall great shape for a punk record over 20 years old.
