THE TWILIGHTS – “THE WAY THEY PLAYED” LP Australian Rock Classic
The Twilights were one of the most significant Australian rock groups of the 1960s,
and contemporaries of the Easybeats and Masters Apprentices.
Lead Singer, Glenn Shorrock, later fronted Axiom, Esperanto and Little River Band.
This LP, in a gate-fold cover, was manufactured in Australia by EMI Records, Catalogue No. EMA327, in 1977.
It includes tracks recorded in Adelaide (1966), London (1967) and Melbourne (1969).
Basically a “best of” album, all 16 tracks are well-known hits, such as “Needle in a Haystack”, “What’s Wrong With the Way I Live”, “Time and Motion Study Man”, “Cathy Come Home”, and also includes the band’s jingles for Coca Cola and Bowling as “intro” and “outro” tracks.
The cover is in almost mint condition and still has the original shrink wrap attached, although it has been opened.
The LP has only been played twice – it doesn’t have even a hint of a spindle mark and absolutely no marks or scratches.
What a rare find 33 years after manufacture! This is the MUST HAVE of must haves for the true-blue Aussie Rock collector.
