Description
The Velvet Underground & Nico is the debut studio album by the Velvet Underground and the German singer Nico, released in March 1967 through Verve Records. It was recorded in 1966 while the band were featured on Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable tour. Per Wikipedia, the album underperformed in sales and polarized critics on release due to its abrasive, unconventional sound and controversial lyrical content, but later became regarded as one of the most influential albums in rock and pop music and one of the greatest albums of all time. The album up for bid consists of 10 tracks and has a run time of 47+ minutes.
The cover is in Good+ condition, but has seen a moderate amount of wear. The bottom edge has a 1" tear at the center and a 1" tear at the right corner. The remaining corners and edges are intact. The front and back covers shows signs of disc wear and some grime that I am hesitant to clean.
The paper/poly inner sleeve I doubt is original, but at least it gives added protection to the record.
The recording has been cleaned and tested with Audacity. All tracks were tested and there were no skips. There are a few "clicks" on several tracks. There is one mild "click" on Side 1, track 1 (Sunday Morning) and 1 "click" on track 4 (Venus In Furs). On Side 2, there are multiple clicks on a 35 second section of track 1 (Heroin) and one click on track 5 (European SonTo Delmore Schwartz). Obviously, this is not an audiophile recording, but the album still has some life in it as a filler. At best, it rates a G+.

It has been brought to my attention that the album up for bid is not a 1968 pressing, but a post '72 pressing. I am unable to verify this information, but, I will accept it, as it is not my intention to mislead or falsify the information I have submitted.
