THE VELVET UNDERGROUND Andy Warhol BANANA Original LP. This is a rare record, I have played this record all the way thru on both sides, the record sounds very nice, it has a few light scratches, they can't be felt with the finger nail, it has no loud pops or skips. This is the original Verve V/5008 msg 558, Deep groove blue label w/ silver print label pressing, not a copy. The Banana peel is missing. The cover has a 5' split at top and a 3" split at bottom. The Gatefold cover is in Vg condition also comes with the original sleeve. Check my feedback for further information on my grading. I grade by Goldmine Standards.

Near Mint (NM) = A nearly perfect record. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. A 45 rpm or EP sleeve should have no more than minor defects, such almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling.

Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) = Record surfaces may show signs that it was rarely played and otherwise handled by a previous owner that took extremely good care of it. Record surfaces may show very minimal amount of surface scuffing and/or scratching that does not affect one's listening pleasure.

Picture Sleeves = Will have some slight ring wear and lightly turned up corners, no seam splits. Show some wear, but no tears, names or tags.

Very Good Plus (VG+) = A very good plus Record will show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don’t affect one’s listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. This grade is sometimes called excellent.

The label = May have ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not be misshapen by repeated play.

Picture sleeves = Will have some slight ring wear and lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split.

Very Good (VG )= Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG record. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during the songs intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will be will start to be noticeable, as will Light scratches (deep enough to feel with fingernail) that will affect the sound.

Labels = May be marred by writing, or may have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time. Only two or three of them.

Good(G), Good Plus (G+) = Good does not mean bad! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can often be put onto a turntable and play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear.

A jacket or Sleeve will have seem splits, especially at the bottom or at the spline, tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.

Poor(P), Fair(F) = The record is cracked, badly warped, and won’t play through without skipping or repeating, The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred but wear and/or writing.
