• Original U.S. Stereo Pressing
• Original Dolton Records Label (Dark Green'ish label with gray text and 3 fish logo) **this is the original 1st label, not the later royal blue label**
• I GRADE THE VINYL AS NEAR MINT (NM). Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs - are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible, and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is completely intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.
• The labels are very clean.
• Contains original time appropriate Liberty Records inner sleeve in EXC condition.
The cover (VG++) has very minimal ware. There is slight wilting on the back bottom left corner part of the paste-over slick but it is so insignificant that it is in no way visually distracting and doesn't compromise the overall integrity of the cover. The graphics are very sharp and vivid. DO NOT let this opportunity pass you by.
The fourth studio album from the Ventures, 1961's Colorful Ventures was the first in a long line of releases the band built around album title themes. Here the theme is colors, and so listeners get such songs as "Blue Moon," "Yellow Jacket," "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White," and so on. Conceptual themes aside, the album featured more of the group's recognizable instrumental rock & roll, surf rock, and country twang.
