Description

Thanks for looking!

WE ARE SELLING OUR RECORD COLLECTION AND WE HAVE SOME PRETTY TERRIFIC MUSIC FOR YOU!

This is an marvelous record by THE WAILER, OUTBURST.  THIS IS A VERY NICE COPY OF A SOUGHT AFTER ORIGINAL 1966 RELEASE ON UNITED ARTISTS UAS 6557! THIS IS THEIR VERY FIRST ALBUM FOR UNITED ARTISTS RECORDS AND IS IN STEREO.

THIS IS WHAT THE IS WRITTEN ON THE BACK OF THE ALBUM COVER: "A personal appearance by THE WAILERS is a "happening".  The stage lights pop on.  Suddenly music explodes alive and present.  Soon the beat's into you, penetrating skull and belly.  Something inside has got to move.  You notice this group: cleancut-groomed hair-neat.  Their steps are smooth and graceful.  Thrumming on his custom bass ax is Buck Ormsby.  His insistent bottom sound produces THE WAILERS' trademark; heavy, driving rhythm.  Banging away on drums is Dave (Laughing Boy) Roland.  He keeps two things working: mouth and drums.  Making it with his soul-sax is talented Ron Gardner.  That haunting, ever-riding whang comes from the unique lead guitar of Neil Anderson.  On organ is leader Kent Morrill. Personable, strong and seasoned, Kent's forte is singing.  But singing the entire group does well.  Lead vocals usually rotate among Kent, Ron and Dave, but sometimes Buck will be given a well-deserved solo spot.  and are you noticing that THE WAILERS sound on-stage just like their records"  They use no studio musicians.  They are what they are.

This is an awesome record!

CONDITION OF THE VINYL IS VG++ WITH A HIGH DEGREE OF LUSTER BUT WITH A COUPLE LINES AND A LIGHT SURFACE SCRATCH WHICH DOES AFFECT PLAY AND THE COVER IS VERY NICE WITH SOME BOTTOM EDGE WEAR.  THERE ARE NO SEAM SPLITS AND THE SPINE IS GOOD. THERE IS NO RING WEAR. THE BACK OF THE ALBUM COVER IS WHITE AND THERE IS SOME LIGHT STAINING ON THE BOTTOM OF THE BACK (SEE PICTURE) BUT THE REST OF THE BACK COVER IS QUITE NICE. THE LABELS ARE LOVELY WITH ONLY ONE TINY SPINDLE MARK. IT HAS IT'S ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE.  THIS IS REALLY A VERY GOOD COPY OF THIS HARD TO FIND LP.

FEW ARTISTS HAVE EVER CAPTURED THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST SCENE AS HAVE THE WAILERS WITH THEIR FRESH AND DOMINATING SOUND.  THERE ARE SOME GREAT TUNES:

SIDE ONE:  YOU WON'T LEAD ME ON,  I WANT TO WALK WITH YOU,  THINK KINDLY BABY,  OUT OF OUR TREE,  IT'S YOU ALONE AND BAD TRIP

SIDE TWO:  HOLD, MY GIRL,  TURN AND RUN,  SIT IN MY ROOM,  TEARS DON'T HAVE TO FALL AND I'M LOOKING DOWN AT YOU

THIS IS AN ETIQUETTE PRODUCTION, 1966 UNITED ARTISTS RECORDS INC.  THIS IS A GREAT PACIFIC NORTHWEST ROCK RECORD.  I LIKE TO LISTEN TO THE ALBUMS AS I WRITE THE DESCRIPTIONS AND THE RECORD IS DEFINITELY FUN AND IT SOUNDS GREAT!

WE THINK YOU WILL BE WELL PLEASED!
