Description
Welcome to Heart of Wax - Vinyl online record shop. I shall endeavour to post up as many exciting records up here that I find. Usually all from private collections which I've sourced. I'm happy to post out records to all you lovely people of the United Kingdom. Generally each record is secondhand and has been played. All have been cleaned and listened to by myself. And if there are any faults or defects, I will provide them in an honest description below.

JEFF WAYNE'S - THE WAR OF THE WORLDS - OST
Original UK pressing 1978. Soundtrack to the stage musical in fabulous condition.
Released 40 years after the infamous Orson Welles radio play we have a contemporary (well for 1978 at least), highly dramatic and emotive score played out in equal measure. We've the old-style radio drama with some excellent narrative by Richard Burton. Phil Lynott from Thin Lizzy throwing out some buzzsaw style guitar work. Suspenseful singing arrangements by the wonderful Julie Covington and from Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues. Overall it is a pleasant period piece that will delight young and old listeners alike. There is enough here that can justify it being a solid 'rock opera' and a competent studio rock album. Also what is great about this particular vinyl LP is the lurid artwork by illustrator Geoff Taylor giving you a detailed pictoral description of what you're listening to. Personally, I have seen this record many times but never in such great condition as this - a real gem of an album as a gift or as a collectable piece.

POSTAGE
As soon as I can get your LP packaged up and get it over to the post office this record will be sent out either: First class - £4 Second class - £3 Local collection via my house or my record stall (when available) - FREE
I package each record using the 'cardboard and bubble wrap sandwich method.' Sleeve and LP are kept separate within the postage sleeve. It will arrive to your house looking very tasty but please don't attempt to eat it for your dinner. I only recommend popping it on your record player.
INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE
I have offered European and international postage to people on other records which I sell. However one particular continental customer has sent through some horrible feedback and been rather abusive - so I'd prefer to now only ship to somewhere in the UK from here on in. Shame really that we all can't get along. But that's the modern world for you.
It doesn't mean I won't ship abroad but you'll have to send me a message so I can figure out a postage price and whether or not I'm happy to ship this, or any item out to you. Everyone deserves a second chance.
All the best.
