“The performance took place in the East Room of the White House with President and Mrs. Kennedy along with an amazing list of musicians: Samuel Barber, Elliot Carter, Aaron Copland, Henry Cowell, Norman Dello Joio, Howard Hansen, Roy Harris, Alan Hovaness, Gian Carlo Menotti, Walter Piston, William Schumann, Roger Sessions, Virgil Thompson, Leonard Bernstein, Eugene Ormandy, and Leopold Stokowski.”

This record was released on Columbia Records in 1962, KL 5726.  It is in new mint condition, including the gatefold cover and book, and the record itself.

One of the greatest performances of all time, and a rare find on vinyl.
