This is the original UK LP by THE WHO, WHO'S NEXT, 1971 Stereo 2nd / 3rd Pressing on the mid colour grey shiny TRACK label 2408 102
This I believe is a 2nd or at the latest 3rd original UK Pressing, most likely released, late 1971- early January 1972. The album acheived massive success, Polydor went on to Press slightly later issues, using the original 1971 master tapes, to ensure that the later pressing were as good as the original 1st pressing. This is very fortunate as its believed that the original master tapes are lost. Once youv'e listened to this glorious album your see what a staggeringly good job the techenicians at Polydor did. From my point of view, where Ive had the privilage to listen to Mint 1st Pressings and slightly later pressings, THIS IS AS GOOD AS YOU GET, THE CLARITY AND PRECISON of each track, is razor sharp, super clean, crisp, precise sound, an amazing pressing!, TOP TOP QUALITY!
The machine stamped Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- 2408102 A#4, Side 2:- 2408102 B#4
Machine stamped stamper codes are, Side 1:- 420 03 15 16, inbetween the last 2 numers is hand etched 'BILBO', Side 2:- 420 05 13 11
The machine stamped matrix codes and stamper codes are significant as any later pressing's 1973 onwards were hand etched, so this gives a good idea of the date of Pressing
The original 1971 UK issue Clout & Baker matt finished cover is in a STUNNING ** MINT- *** condition, super clean and factory fresh!, maintaining all it's original bright vibrant colours, their are no scuffs, no sticker marks, no unwanted writing, no tears, no rips, no seam splits. All four corners are razor sharp, the slim spine is beautifully clean, sharp, with perfect sharp definition, the spine is perfectly readable. THIS COVER IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!, JUST LIKE IT JUST COME OUT OF THE FACTORY!!, IVE NEVER SEEN A BETTER EXAMPLE, TOP TOP QUALITY AND CONDITION!
The vinyl is in A STUNNING *** MINT ***condition!!, gleaming with all it's original 'Just Pressed' shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very very carefully!, with extreme care!) The vinyl plays ** MINT- !!! **, The vinyl plays with stunning crisp clear clarity!, the quality of this 1971 late UK Stereo Pressing is TOP TOP QUALITY!, playing with stunning rich tones, warmth and depth!! a great LP and a TRUELY WONDERFUL PLAYING VINYL!!!!!! WOW this VINYL IS IN *** MINT *** CONDITION!, EVEN UNDER A INTENSE BRIGHT LIGHT, THEIRS NOT A SINGLE MARK, NOTHING!!
The mid-grey shiny with silver credits TRACK labels are in MINT condition!!!, super clean and factory fresh, maintaining all their original bright fresh colour, their is no unwanted writing, the centre spindle hole shows NO wear!, the label's have NO re-allignment marks, consistant with the stunning MINT condition of the vinyl!, possibly been played only once by me!, a real privilage!
The vinyl is housed in it's original late 1971 UK polythene lined inner sleeve and in a STUNNING MINT- condition!, Super clean and fresh, their is no unwanted writing, no stains, no rips and no seam splits, SUPERB!
Altogther a absolutely STUNNING MINT example of ' WHO'S NEXT ' . The Stereo is blistering!, SIT BACK AND PLAY IT LOAD!, A TOP QULAITY MUSUEM EXAMPLE OF THEIR CLASSIC ALBUM!
