This is the UK Press of 'Live At Leeds' by The Who. This early press is complete with the red text sleeve and all 12 of the original 1st Press inserts. Including the scarce jumping Pete Townshend picture and the Marquee poster. These earliest inserts are printed on different paper and the print quality is much finer than the later issues. The vinyl has the earliest A1//B1 matrix and the record is in the original polylined inner sleeve.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has as absolutely sensational gloss, with just one small mark and a few wispy hairlines. On playing the sound is rich and vibrant, there is just a little background noise, common to this album, but it still sounds superb. The label is crisp white with vivid blue text and there is NO spindle wear. It is in Near Mint condition. The record is complete with the original inner sleeve in Excellent condition.
The 1st press only original inserts are in Near Mint condition. They are completely clean, bright and the edges are firm. The type is that of an original typewriter and the guitar photo is printed in lightweight folded paper with sharp dark blue (not black as in the later issues) biro. The scarce photo is on glossy card. All text and images are sharp and well printed unlike the later lower quality reproductions. The most noticeable difference are the two earliest yellow paper inserts. These are almost always printed on white or bright yellow thick paper, especially 'The High Numbers' commission slip, but this album is complete with the two earliest yellow paper inserts with sharp typewriter text and a bold black 'premier talent associates inc' stamp. The set is finally complete with the rare Marquee poster in sensational condition.
The cover is in Very Good+ condition. The text is sharp and there are no scuffs of any kind. There is a little wear to the opening edge and a couple of age spots. The inside is exceptionally clean and bright. The inner edges are solid and unfeathered and it has the earliest black text inside. The whole sleeve is still solid.
