Description
You are bidding for a 1st press of The Who My Generation LP 1965 - LAT 8616 Mono
This is a great example of this album and the cover is in brilliant condition.
Track List - Side 1 - Out In The Street, I Don't Mind, The Good's Gone, La-La-La-La-Lies, Much To Much, My Generation
Side 2 - The Kids Are Alright, Please Please Please, It's Not True, I'm A Man, A Legal Matter, The Ox
Label/Format - Brunswick LAT.8616, lovely and clean with minor spindle marks, and the intended deep groove as originals had on the label.
Cover - VG+ - The laminated front is excellent with no lifting of the laminate, one very slight knock on the bottom left corner, (hardly noticeable) the spine is very clear with all of the laminate intact and the wording very clear. The rear shows some aging and slight yellowing, and not being laminated the outer rim of the album creates a circle. (see photo)
Matrix details; Side 1 - MG 10256 - 1B, with a 2 0 at 10. o'c and a KT at 2. o'c
Side 2 - MG 10257 - 1B, with a 1 at 9.o'c and a KT at 12. o'c
I try to grade my records as accurately as possible and obviously want to give 100% satisfaction to my buyers. I have played and listened to this album on a ION Profile deck whilst converting it to Itunes. I have also listed to it via my Bose Lifestyle system.
I have graded using the Record Collector grading system as follows:
Mint: the record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition.
Excellent: the record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very good: the record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks an occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover and contents without any major defects is acceptable.
Good: the record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffed edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
The heavy vinyl LP sits nice and flat on the turntable with no warping.Side 1 - VG - There is a mark that goes across the first five tracks but this does not affect the playing quality, minimal tics between tracks. The vinyl is lovely and shiny.
Side 2 - Excellent - There is not a mark on this side, the vinyl is lovely and shiny.
Due to my grading above for side 1, I don't believe that this is a copy for purist, but I cannot stress enough how good this sounds, or how good the cover is.
Postage and payment details :
I will send the album in a quality cardboard album mailing envelope, with extra cardboard inside. If you are an international buyer please wait for my invoice so that I can add postage to the winning bid. It's got what I believe to be a low start price for this brilliant FIRST PRESS OF THE WHO, MY GENERATION
