So hard to find these days. Splendid rock album in great EX condition!! I am very happy to be able to present this fantastic double album. It will be extremely hard to find it in this great  condition!! This will be a great first acquisition as well as a terrific upgrade!!!

Quadrophenia is the sixth studio album by English rock band The Who. Released on 19 October 1973 by Track and Polydor in the United Kingdom, and Track and MCA in the United States, it is a double album, and the group's second rock opera. Its story involves social, musical and psychological happenings from an English teenage perspective, set in London and Brighton in 1965.

The name is a variation on the popular usage of the medical diagnostic term schizophrenia as dissociative identity disorder, to reflect the four distinct personalities of Jimmy, the opera's protagonist – each said to represent the personality of one member of The Who. At the same time, the title is a play on the term quadraphonic sound, then a recent invention. Composer Pete Townshend has said: "The whole conception of Quadrophenia was geared to quadraphonic, but in a creative sort of way. I mean I wanted themes to sort of emerge from corners. So you start to get the sense of the fourness being literally speaker for speaker.

THE HEAVY VINYLS PLAY GREAT ALL THE WAY THROUGH ALL FOUR SIDES. 

THE STEREO REPRODUCTION IS SUPERB AND EVERY NOTE IS HEARD CLEARLY AND CRISPLY WITHOUT DISTORTION.  NEEDLESS TO SAY, NO STICKS OR JUMPS!

Vinyl: EX to EX+. Both vinyls are in great condition. Not played much. Audio is A++and the vinyls sound out of this world. As always I have played the album throughout. The audio has beautiful separation and there is no background noise. I played this twice in full and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was even tempted to keep this as it will be very hard to find this again, it is indeed getting hard to find this on Track now. The later Polydor issues are more common. Two light lines on side 2 have no impact at all. This plays with hardly any crackle or static!! Needless to say NO jumps, clicks or ticks. The labels are beautiful with light spindle traces. This will be a fantastic upgrade for most long time collectors!!

Gatefold Sleeve: EX.  Fantastic looked after sleeve with hardly any wear or damage.  This sleeve is matt and an impossible find as it has been in a protective plastic sleeve all its life. One tiny mini "nick" on the opening (see pic) . Beautiful original first press super "wide" spine. Fully legible spine!!  Most matt sleeves of this kind of age are totally worn and creased esp. a band like "The Who". On the inside there is the four page lyric sheet, still attached but with light tears on the centre attachmnet (see pics). NO creases, NO writing, NO smudging. Sleeve printed by "Fabulous Music Ltd. Artwork.  This is the ultimate upgrade copy!! 

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next psych/folk album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.

I was told by an Ebay member that in his opinion there should have been a booklet with this record. I know that this album has been issued with and without a booklet. To reiterate, this album I am selling has four pages of lyric sheet as shown in the pictures. This is a 1st UK press album.
