HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY 'ONE OFF' WEDNESDAY NIGHT AUCTIONS (ENDING LATE WEDNESDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER!)!!!!

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Who called "Quadrophenia" and is an ORIGINAL 1973 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Track labels!!!!  THIS DOUBLE LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  IT IS ONE OF THE WHO'S RAREST LPs EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1973 WHEN THIS DOUBLE LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (AS A GENIUNE 1ST PRESSING!), AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY CHANGED!!!!  AS A RESULT, IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS DOUBLE LP REALLY SPECIAL - IS THAT IT IS QUITE LITERALLY THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE, WITH SOME INCREDIBLE DIFFERENCES THAT ALL LATER ONES SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  ALTHOUGH THIS DOUBLE LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN 1973 - IT WAS PRESSED WELL INTO 1975 BEFORE IT WAS DELETED.  HOWEVER THOSE LATER ONES FROM 1974 AND 1975 ARE DISTINCTLY POOR RELATIONS (AND WELL WORTH AVOIDING!) - AS THEY ARE FAR POORER QUALITY IN MANY RESPECTS.  HOWEVER THIS ONE IS THE ULTIMATE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING (IN FANTASTIC CONDITION!) - WHICH HAS EVERY SINGLE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS DETAIL:-

1) FIRSTLY THE INNER SLEEVES HAVE CLEAR 'POLY-LINING' (LATER ONES ARE MISTY FROM 1974 ONWARDS).

2) SECONDLY THE INNER SLEEVES HAVE CENTRE HOLES THAT ARE EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE AS THE LABELS (LATER ONES FROM DECEMBER 1973 ONWARDS - HAD SMALLER CENTRE HOLES WHICH OBSCURED PART OF THE LABELS!).

3) THE LABELS STILL HAVE THE DARKEST JET BLACK 'MATT' COLOUR AND BRIGHT SILVER TEXT (LATER ONES DONT - IN 1974 THEY WERE CHANGED TO A FAR GREYER LOOKING BLACK COLOUR AND FAINTER SILVER TEXT, AND LATER STILL IN 1975 THE LABELS BECAME SHINY!).

4) THE VINYLS ARE 'SQUARE EDGED', VERY THICK, DO NOT FLEX IN YOUR HAND, AND HAVE FAR FAR BETTER SOUND QUALITY THAN LATER COPIES (LATER COPIES HAD MUCH THINNER AND POORER QUALITY VINYL, WHICH WERENT SQUARE EDGED, AND NOT SURPRISINGLY GAVE FAR POORER SOUND QUALITY!)

5) AND LASTLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - THE LABELS ARE COMPLETELY FLAT, WITH NO RIDGE AROUND THE EDGE!!!!  (LATER COPIES FROM 1974 ONWARDS HAD A DISTINCTIVE 'RAISED RIDGE' AROUND THE EDGE OF THE LABELS.  THIS DATES ANY TRACK RECORD UNDISPUTEDLY TO AT LEAST 6 MONTHS TO A YEAR AFTER THE RELEASE DATE!).

SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESSING YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET (WITH EVERY SINGLE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS DETAIL!), MADE WELL BEFORE THE RELEASE DATE BACK IN 1973!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT - BUT THIS DOUBLE LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME CONDITION - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  JUST LOOKING AT THE LABEL PICTURES TELLS YOU THAT THESE RECORDS HAVE ALMOST NEVER BEEN NEAR A TURNTABLE AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1973 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS JET BLACK FLAT 'MATT' TRACK LABELS, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS MATRIX ENDINGS, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'SQUARE EDGED' THICKEST QUALITY VINYL, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'MATCHING' INNER SLEEVES (WITH LARGE DIE CUTS!), AND 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS GATEFOLD 'WIDE SPINE' COVER WITH 'STAPLED IN' 22 PAGE BOOKLET!!!!  THIS DOUBLE LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Track UK 1st Pressing from 1973 and is in AWESOME condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is 2657 013 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Track labels (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos!)!!!!

The record labels to BOTH records are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THESE RECORDS HAVE BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL (AND SOME OF THE SIDES HAVE CLEARLY NEVER EVER BEEN PLAYED!)!!!!  The vinyl to BOTH records is in AWESOME condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s Double LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and BOTH records have NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  BOTH RECORDS STILL RETAIN THEIR ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOK AMAZING!!!!  It is also great to find that the records play as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply AMAZING with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  BOTH records must grade MINT(Minus)!!!!  WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SET OF RECORDS!!!!  Believe me these records are NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The records come in their ORIGINAL 1st Press 'matching' inner sleeve which are in SUPERB condition!!!!   The ORIGINAL 1st Press Gatefold Cover with 'Stapled-in' 22 Page Booklet is in absolutely SUPERB condition!!!! The Cover has NO edge wear, NO splits, NO spinal wear (PERFECT side words!), NO sticker marks, only very VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), NO sticker tears, NO ringwear, only some very VERY minor evidence of 'tipping in' to a couple of the extreme corner tips, barely ANY creases AT ALL (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), barely ANY rubbing AT ALL to the cover front (virtually ZERO!), NO rubbing AT ALL to the cover back, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the unlaminated inside of the cover is in SUPERB condition with NO wear, NO grubbyness, NO writing, and NO yellowing!!!! The 'Stapled-in' 22 Page Booklet is in SUPERB condition with NO creases, NO ripped pages, NO grubbyness, and NO writing!!!!  The staples holding the VERY heavy booklet have become very slightly loose at some point in the past (though they are NOT loose now - and this is completely unavoidable on this cover!) - though the booklet is 100% solidly in place inside the cover and does NOT move about!!!!  There are also NO loose pages either!!!!  The cover must grade FULL Excellent if not Excellent+!!!! SUPERB COVER!!!!  THIS DOUBLE LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS (ESPECIALLY AS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

 Also just noticed (99% of people would never EVER even see this - let alone mention it!) that there is a TINY single word impression on the VERY edge of the cover back.  It is only visible under angled light - and is a impression ONLY, definitely NOT writing or anything nasty like that!  And as I said - geniunely, almost NO ONE would ever notice this - let alone mention it!  And I am only mentioning this under the very strictest accuracy.  It is an absolutely BRILIANT LP exactly as my pictures clearly show!  Good luck!
