A Collection Of Rare Recordings From 1967/68.THANKS TO saxonman1 FOR THE REVIEW! March 1, 2015
This was a great compilation that came out in europe, they stole the sleeve idea from the original japanese 1967 lp pressing of sell out wich is one of the hardest who records to find in the world as i belive only 500 where pressed in japan way back in 1967 with the japan unique sleeve wich you see above, anyway this boot consists of great odds and sods that the who recorded in 1967 and 1968 you also get the coca cola, top gear and john mason car dealership radio spots on here, you get the 1968 track little billy wich was supposed to be issued as a single in the summer of 68 but never appeared on anything until 1974 when the odds and sods compilation was put out by john entwistle, also you got other throw away songs here like faith in something bigger, glittering girl, early morning cold taxi and one of my favorites from 1967 melancholia, in 2015 none of these tracks are hard to find as they have all been officially released on deluxe cd sets etc etc by now but if you are a big analog person then this is a great way to own these songs in analog with a very nice replica of a killer rare who lp from japan, this is for a top who collector like myself, if you buy this i hope you enjoy it as much as i have.... ps for a bit of triva for the die hard you should check out the who boot from the fillmore east ( april 6 1968) i belive it was the only shows the who played little billy live at and over all it is in my opinion the best who boot ever released becouse of the obscure track listing.
