Description
Up for auction today is this rare, collectible classic WHO LP by the legendary Trademark of Quality (TMOQ) label, of the band's performance at the Fillmore East in New York City, April 6, 1968. An original TMOQ pressing of a great show showcasing the band's early material, including the rarely performed anti-cigarette cautionary tale, "Little Billy", and the psych-pop number, "Relax", recorded in excellent sound. LP cover is in terrific shape, with no seam splits and only minor wear, and features cool pop pix of the band -- Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon -- lovingly taped onto what appears to have been a blank white cover (front cover has a taped-on black & white photo reproduction of the Fillmore poster that advertised this legendary show). LP is nice and clean, in VG+ shape, and has the cool TMOQ Smokin' Pig logos printed on both sides of the labels, with some neatly handwritten source information on "side 1" of the label (see our scan). Overall, a very nice copy, with handwritten track titles and running times listed on the back in neat black and red marker (again, see our scan). For fans of not only the bleedin' 'OO, but also great labels like Swingin' Pig, K&S, TAKRL etc..NO RESERVE, so good luck bidding, and THANKS as always for checking out our auction.
