Description
THE WHO - SILVER ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL. 3 LP SET.
BROADCAST DATE APRIL 14th - 16th 1989.
UNITED STATIONS PROGRAMMING NETWORK.
MUSIC AND INTERVIEWS WITH ROGER DALTREY, PETE TOWNSHEND AND JOHN ENTWISTLE.
Here's a nice set which was broadcast in the USA, in April 1989. It comes complete with it's original cue sheets, which give information and running times, and an introductory letter from Ed Salamon, Executive Vice President / programming, all printed on USP headed paper. Apart from the interviews, there is an extensive tracklisting, as follows.
I CANT EXPLAIN / THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT / MY GENERATION / SUBSTITUTE / BORIS THE SPIDER / HAPPY JACK / PICTURES OF LILY / I CAN SEE FOR MILES / MAGIC BUS / PINBALL WIZARD / SEE ME, FEEL ME / IM FREE / SUMMERTIME BLUES / WONT GET FOOLED AGAIN / BABA O' RILEY / BARGAIN / BEHIND BLUE EYES / GOING MOBILE / JOIN TOGETHER / LOVE REIGN O'ER ME / THE REAL ME / SQUEEZE BOX / SLIP KID / WHO ARE YOU / LONG LIVE ROCK / LET MY LOVE OPEN THE DOOR / WITHOUT YOUR LOVE / ROUGH BOYS / YOU BETTER YOU BET / ATHENA / EMINENCE FRONT / FACE THE FACE.
There are a few faint scratches on a couple of sides, and a few very light spindle marks, visible when held under light. The records are in an excellent condition otherwise. Flat, glossy. The sleeve has a small split on the bottom, and a small patch of rubbing on the top. There are 2 price stickers on the front, which I didn't want to remove for fear of damaging the sleeve. The records are housed in anti static poly sleeves. All the cue sheets are present, and in an excellent condition.
So, it's a collectable radio show, and contains some great tracks and interviews.
