SOUVENIR - THE WHO
Beacon Island Records. Number:- 2S709
Here's a very rare opportunity for Who fans to own this ultra rare double album. According to The Who illustrated Discography by Ed Hanel the Sides 1 and 2 were recorded live at Fillmore East, New York City on 6.4.1968. Sides 3 and 4 were recorded live for "King Biscuit Flower Hour" on 3rd December 1973 in Philadelphia.
"Quality Good.........some copies of this album claim to be Quadrophonic...." Ed Hanel (referring to sides 3 and 4.)
The actual LP's have black labels on the centre of each giving the relevant track information and the Beacon Island logo.
The LPs look MINT to me and I can only remember playing them once and that was to record them. I no longer have a facility to play vinyl so I can't guarantee them however I always looked after my records but even in mint condition they will suffer from the odd "snap crackle and pop" associated with vinyl. The cover is pretty good but it does suffer from "ring wear".
Side 1:- Summertime Blues, Fortune Teller, My Brother, Little Billy, I Can't Explain, Happy Jack.
Side 2:- Relax, Boris The Spider, My Generation.
Side 3:- I Am the Sea, The Real Me, I Am One, Sea and Sand,
Side 4:- Drowned, Bellboy, Dr Jimmy, Wont get Fooled Again, Pinball Wizard, See Me Feel Me.
Silly starting bid to give all WHO fans a real chance of owning this VERY SCARCE PIECE OF VINYL.
