On offer here is a VERY rare AMAZING Psychedelic Poster made to promote the Who single 'I Can See For Miles' in 1967!!!!  It was made by Osiris and designed by Hapshash & The Coloured Coat (namely Guy Stevens, Michael English, and Nigel Waymouth)!!!!  It has the Cat Number OA 123 and has the CORRECT printing on the bottom of the poster (see picture)!!!!  And PLEASE NOTE that although this poster does turn up occassionally as a fake (beware!) - this is actually one of the VERY rarest Osiris Posters to find as an ORIGINAL First Printing from 1967!!!!  It is in absolutely SUPERB condition - and looks AMAZING!!!!  I have shown many pictures of this poster close up - both in its ORIGINAL display, and out of it.  And this clearly shows the 'layering' effect from the ORIGINAL 1st 'Silkcreen' Printing run!!!!  AND PLEASE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST OSIRIS POSTERS EVER MADE AND IS 100% GENIUNE IN ALL RESPECTS (See full details below)!!!!   

CONDITION

It is in AMAZING condition in all respects!  It has NO creasing, NO folding, NO rips, NO tears, NO writing, and NO other damage!!!!  The colours are PERFECTLY vivid and bright and the 'layering' of colours from the silkscreen printing is VERY clearly visible close up (which is NOT visible on later fakes!)!!!!  The poster even 'smells old' - not horrible, just 'old' and the plain paper on the reverse of the poster has VERY slightly 'aged' - as indeed you would expect from a GENIUNE poster!!!!  The detail is PERFECT with NO 'bits missing' (later fakes lose detail!), and there is NO 'smudging' or 'bleeding' of the print (later fakes do!) with ALL the printing being 100% clear!!!!  There is some very VERY minor surface wear to the very VERY edges of the poster ONLY (see pictures) - but this is INCREDIBLY minor and does NOT extend past 1/2mm from the edges.  The back of the poster is equally nice - with NO pinholes, NO tape marks, NO writing, and only VERY slight 'ageing' which all REAL posters have (fakes are snow white!)!!!!  The poster is also VERY flat looking indeed - with barely ANY creases AT ALL, and NO folds!!!!  AN AMAZING CONDITIONED POSTER - AND ONE OF THE VERY BEST!!!!

HISTORY

Originally sent to the first owner directly to him for promotional use.  Never used and kept stored until 1983.  Then given to a serious Who Collector and displayed in his living room (out of sunlight) until recently.   It is still loose in its original display on a backing board and easy to unwrap/view.  Can be sent loosely rolled or flat at extra cost (though this would be VERY expensive overseas).

AUTHENTICITY

Easy to the trained eye to know this is authentic, but many people sadly fall victim to the recent fakes made in the last 10 years or so.  This poster has EVERY detail showing it to be absolutely AUTHENTIC and of the UTMOST rarity!!!!  This details are:

1) It measures 19 3/4 inches x 29 7/8 inches (Fakes are smaller).

2) It is of EXACTLY the correct grade of paper - being relatively (but not excessively) thick.

3) The design detail on the poster is CLEAR, SHARP, and EXACT with NO parts missing!!!!

4) The ORIGINAL 1st Print 'Silkscreen' printing is CLEARLY visible, has great 'depth' from the 'layering' of different inks, and you can clearly see the overlap of the different coloured inks from the multiple printing processes (fakes are all blended together - as they were only made from 1 single printing run)!!!!   There is NO 'bleed-over' & NO smudging to the ink (Fakes DO!), and the colour is EXACT and PERFECT!!!!

SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS POSTER IS THE 100% GENIUNE 'SILKSCREEN' 1ST PRINTING RUN FROM 1967, AND IS ONE OF THE RAREST & MOST SOUGHT AFTER 'OSIRIS' / 'HAPSHASH' POSTERS EVER MADE!!!!  BARELY ANY OF THESE CAN EXIST IN THIS FANTASTIC CONDITION TODAY - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
