Description

Another smokin' auction from

ELECTRIC DOOBIELAND

for aficionados and admirers of fine vinyl

The Who - Who Are You (Direct Disk Labs SD 16610) 1978 U.S.

Jacket is VG++ due to a neat bottom seam separation (can be glued - I don't "doctor" covers), NOT a split! Also has some light corner wear. Vinyl is M- and plays like a dream with clean labels.

Triumphant, though to be short-lived return to form by the original line-up. The loud and brash title track alternately saluting and giving the finger to the punk generation, a brilliant mix of Townshend's acoustic demo and powerful Les Paul overdubs and Keith Moon flying all over the kit like it was the sixties again. Also has Had Enough, Sister Disco and Music Must Change. Produced by Glyn Johns and Jon Astley (who had enormous input on the project and whose name should probably come first). Half-speed mastered and cut by Jack Hunt at J.V.C. Cutting Center for Direct Disk Labs, Nashville Tennessee.

"I spit out like a sewer hole

Yet still receive your kiss

How can I measure up to anyone now

After such a love as this?"

Some important information:

I am a serious collector and I don't sell anything that I wouldn't play for my own listening enjoyment. At the same time I'm not going to brag about my grading genius, or hustle people about how no one used profanity in or near the pristine environment that my records were stored in, or how they were acquired from a hermit who only played them once to tape them (unless it's true!). The sub-heading at the top of the page says it all - I sell fine vinyl.

All records are packed professionally in proper record mailers. They are placed in poly outer-sleeves outside the album cover to prevent seam-splits, often in an extra inner sleeve, especially in the case of custom original sleeves which need extra protection. They are then placed in between two stiff cardboard inserts with an additional square of bubble wrap outside of the vinyl side. Edges and seams are then neatly taped with quality tape for maximum protection. Sealed records are packed with similar care. I do not skimp on packaging - no improvised french-fry boxes stuffed with newspaper from this dealer! All orders are shipped via Priority Mail after payment so that you receive your item, or items in a timely manner. If you win multiple items I will provide you with a shipping discount of $1.00 for each additional LP, $1.50 for each additional Double LP. Outside the U.S. combined orders will be discounted fairly on a case-by-case basis.
