Description
This great band actually hailed from Kansas but have a distinct San Francisco sound . In fact they played plenty of gigs at The Fillmore West which is how they were ultimately noticed by several record companies which they turned down! They did finally settle on Mercury Records and recorded this fine set of covers and originals. Thier versions of High Flyin' Bird and Codine are absolutley stellar. In fact I'm listening to it now and I am tempted to not sell it! The band are excellent players who disbanded soon after this album sunk without a trace. I guess they decided they wanted to make their living playing jazz. Oh well...its really a fine album with great guitar playing and excellent vocal harmonies. It also well engineered and well produced. A beautiful textured pyschedelic cover is the icing on the cake. The Wizards From Kansas!
CONDITION: VINYL - EXCELLENT (very clean sounding with very minimal surface noise only in a few places. Sounds great! ) COVER - EXCELLENT ( there is a tiny drill hole in the bottom right corner as this must have hit the bargain bins in the early seventies as a "cut-out")
