Description

THE YARDBIRDS:  FOR YOUR LOVE (LN 24167) – MONO ORIGINAL

This rare lp has a near-mint cover with shrink-wrap and play grades near-mint as well.  The mono version of this lp is preferable since the rechanneled stereo version has only one cut in true stereo (“Sweet Music”) and the rest of the songs are rechanneled.

 

Should you be worried that this lp might be a fake, it is not and for the following reasons:

-         The letters ‘For Your Love’ measure one inch and a quarter on the spine whereas fakes measure three-quarters of an inch

-         Beck’s hair is solidly black whereas it is whiteish on fakes

-         The cardboard is 60’s dark style and not the lighter tone of fakes

-         This lp comes with the original Epic yellow inner sleeve

-         The labels of most fakes have tear marks emanating from the centre hole due to inferior pressing machines: this one has no such tears

-         The matrix numbers and marks (C2) are clearly visible in the dead wax which is not true of fakes

For the sake of accuracy, it should be noted that “FOR YOUR LOVE” “THE YARDBIRDS” is neatly typed in black and red on the yellow inner sleeve
