Description

THE YARDBIRDS - LIVE YARDBIRDS

This is the fabled live Yardbirds album that could easily be called Led Zeppelin Mark 1. On their last tour of the US, Page was busy working out the ideas that fill the first Zep album - two of the tracks are "I'm Confused" and "White Summer".

The album barely made it into the shops before Zep manager Peter Grant got it pulled and scrapped. There are very few copies that escaped.

This is a PRESS/PROMO copy -- identified by the small hole punched in the top left corner. I got mine from the CBS press office in LA the day they came in. (Luck or what?!)

The sound and quality of recording is really good. If you can ignore the dubbed-on cheers that erupt every time someone twitches it's a great listening experience.

Tracks are: The Train Kept A-Rollin' (also a staple of early Zep shows) / You're A Better Man Than I / I'm Confused / My Baby / Over Under Sideways Down / Drinking Muddy Water / Shapes Of Things / White Summer / I'm A Man.

The record is in MINT condition with no signs of wear. There are no scratches, marks or other defects. The label is unmarked. There are no spindle marks.

The cover is in NEAR MINT-MINT  condition with no bends, marks or tears. It is still protected by shrinkwrap.
