Description
Please read my description carefully before bidding. I will ship the item worldwide and will accept a free return if it doesn't match the listing description.
This one is the first mono pressing of Thelonious Monk's THELONIOUS MONK PLAYS THE MUSIC OF DUKE ELLINGTON. Riverside Records RLP 12-201. This is an original issue from Riverside Records, released in 1956, not a reissue version. White Labels and Deep Groove on both labels.
Comes with the 1st version cover. Very Rare.
Thelonious Monk (piano), Oscar Pettiford (bass), Kenny Clarke (drums).
The vinyl looks bright and glossy. I've played test this record on my system and it plays VG+ on both sides with not-so-strong background noises. No skipped, jumped, or stuck.
The cover is rated VG+. Strong but almost 2/3 split on spine. Upper and Lower seams are intact. Colors and texture are still nice. Beautifully designed cover.
The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-. You will be satisfied.
