UK MONO FIRST PRESSING VINYL ALBUM ON GROOVED LABEL IN LAMINATED FLIP-BACK SLEEVE WITH ORIGINAL POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVE.
This Esquire release was pressed in the UK from the same Rudi Van Gelder cut lacquers as used on the original USA Prestige release. They were manufactured by Abbey Record Manufacturing Co. Inc. USA. Usually the Prestige catalogue number remains, with Van Gelder's matrix handwriting intact, but sometimes with the US catalogue number X'd out and replaced by the UK one. Esquire pressings were on thick, quality vinyl, and are much sought-after by jazz afficandos for their dynamic, fresh sound. They often have differing artwork to the USA release, and the sleeves are of better quality laminated design.
