Description
You are bidding on a used first pressing of Thelonious Monk's "Brilliant Corners", which I've rated as "VG" condition (as per Goldmine standards). The first pressing, as per my research, has the following characteristics: Flat edged vinyl, white Riverside label with "released by Bill Grauer Productions" on it, and the back cover lists Bill Grauer and NOT the Fantasy Inc. re-issue. The LP fits those criteria.
Cover cosmetics: I would consider this "VG" condition. There is a 2 inch split at the top, about an inch more of the label tearing off, and there's a 3 1/2 inch bottom split (see the pic for those) - but not taped. Also, the bottom left and right corners have deteriorated, and there's writing on top and right bottom on the back of the cover (one lists the previous owner's name, and possibly the purchase date). Essentially, it's a well-worn cover.
Vinyl cosmetics: Side 1 has some scuff marks and a light (but long) scratch. It does retain its gloss, however. Side 2 does not have any large noticeable scratches or scuff marks.
Vinyl playback: I played this on a AT-LP120-USB, with an AT120E stylus. I would grade this a "VG" in playback, as well. Varying degrees of surface noise, mainly light to moderate - on occasion, such as about 4 1/2 minutes in on Track1, there are a few heavy clicks. But generally it is very playable and I did not have any skips on my rig.
Hopefully I've given you a good amount of detail, but if you need any more information, feel free to contact me. Good luck and happy bidding!
Additional information for International Buyers:
I wasn't aware that there would be any International interest - with that in mind, I will ship overseas and the price will be whatever the USPS price will be, no extra costs. You can guesstimate by assuming that this will be a 2lb package, and then use USPS.com to gauge the online shipping price. I'll ship Priority or First Class, it's up to you because I assume First Class could take 2 weeks to get to you. But my preference is actually Priority not just for speed, but also the ability to track the package.
