ORIGINAL 1965 LP STILL SEALED
Parrot Records - PAS 71005
*********************************************************
Them was a Northern Irish band formed in Belfast in April 1964, most prominently known for the garage rock standard " Gloria" and launching singer Van Morrison's musical career. The group was marketed in the United States as part of the British Invasion.
The band featured Van Morrison on vocals and harmonica, Billy Harrison on guitar (born William Harrison, 14 October 1942, in Belfast, County Antrim, Northern Ireland), Eric Wrixon on piano and keyboards (Wrixon named the band, but never played on any published albums or toured the States), Alan Henderson on bass (born 26 November 1944, in Belfast), Raymond Sweetman on bass (born Dermot Robert Sweetman, 1 January 1948, in Holyhead, Anglesey, North Wales) and Ronnie Millings on drums (born in 1937, in Belfast), with other musicians replacing or contributing during the life of the band. Henderson was the only constant member of the band from inception through their 1972 breakup and 1979 reunion.
The Angry Young Them is the first album from the Northern Irish rock and roll group Them. The album was released in the UK in June 1965. The band's lead singer and songwriter was Van Morrison. In the U.S., the album was released as Them with partly different tracks.*********************************************************
Original 1965 1st pressing on Parrot Records (Absolute 1st pressing without "Gloria" title or sticker, on the cover). Not a re-issue, No barcode. This LP is STILL SEALED in it's original shrinkwrap. There are no punch holes or cut-outs. The corners are sharp. The shrink is still tight, but does have a large tear at the right side opening, into the cover. There are two very small pieces of tape holding the shrink from tearing any more. Plus, I've always kept this LP in a Japanese mylar sleeve for ultimate protection! There is no wear to the cover. It still has great color and the "white" back cover has no yellowing. This LP has absolutely NO FLAWS!!! Shrink tear aside,..it looks brand new. This is an impossible-to-find 1st pressing cover SEALED copy!!! I don't think there are many, if any at all, SEALED 1st pressings out there!! Don't pass up this chance!!! LP is in truly near MINT condition.
