Description
3LP set. The complete Bach Sonatas and Partitas for violin solo played by Dutch violinist Theo Olof. He was born in 1924 in Bonn but in 1933 he went to Amsterdam where he still lives now. Olof is mainly a violin pedagogue although he performed on stage very often in all kinds of repertoire. He did make some recordings for Dutch record labels as CNR, Philips and Telefunken. This Bach recording was made in 1979 in honor of his 50 year career as a violinist. The violin he's playing on this set is made by F. Pique. It was released in The Netherlands only on a small label Classical Records 180455/57 and very rare to find now.
The vinyl is in near MINT condition. (looks barely played). The box has some minor wear at the edges and has two splits at upper right and lower right corners. Grading box EX-. Complete with 4 page leaflet in Dutch language.
