Description
You are bidding on a vintage set of two 78 RPM records on the Polydor label. The records are numbered 566.233 and 566.234. The performance is the Poême for Violin and Orchestra, Op. 25 by Ernest Chausson. The performer is Jacques Thibaud, with the "Grand Orchestre des Concerts Lamoureux" under the direction of Eugène Bigot. The condition is E, with paper stamps on sides 2 and 4.
I use the VGM grading system, which is listed below. Unless otherwise mentioned, all records are play-graded. International bidders please contact me before bidding. I only accept PayPal for payment. Insurance is usually not included due to eBay's upcoming change in policy, but I may add it on at the buyer's request and adjust the final payment accordingly.
N: New and unplayed with no signs of damage. It is extraordinarily rare to find a record in this condition.
N-: Near mint. Has been played, but has no signs of wear or damage.
E+: Plays like new, with few signs of handling.
E: Very shiny, appears like new. Surface contains a few inaudible scuffs and scratches.
E-: Still shiny but without the luster of a new record. May have a few light scratches.
V+: Scuffs and scratches have dulled the original finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is generally free from distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced.
V: Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches audible but not intrusive.
V-: Quite playable, but with distortion and heavy graying in loud passages. Surface noise and scratches well below music level.
G+: Grey throughout but still serviceable. Contains heavy scratches.
G: Seriously worn and scratched, but music level still higher than surface noise.
G-: Music still prominent, but wear and scratch damage is extensive.
(I will not be listing anything below G- condition unless the record itself is of such value that a fill-in or starter copy might be desired.)
