THIJS VAN LEER blackbird UNRELEASED BEATLES COVER testpressing LP
WoW! What a find! White (or black) label testpressings always draw special attention. It's always a surprise what is on it, especially when there is "Thijs v. Leer" written on the plain white cover!
This extremely rare one-sided testpressing contains an unreleased Beatles cover by Thijs van Leer, the flute and keyboard player of the Dutch group Focus.
On this one of a kind record he plays a beautiful flute instrumental improvisation on the Beatles' blackbird song with unknown other musicians. This is an unreleased track as no information can be found about it on the internet. Even Thijs van Leer himself doesn't remember that he recorded this track! The other side of the record is just blank without music. This is a unique opurtunity to obtain one of the rarest Thijs van Leer / Focus related collectables as there is probably only one copy in existance!
Condition: The plain white cover is a bit grubby: VG+. The record is in NEAR MINT condition.
