Description

THINGS TO COME -
Music of Bliss from the film -
Sir Charles Groves & the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra -
EMI ASD 3416 - Early UK Pressing -
Recommended by TAS

This is the 1977 Willan/Eltham EMI recording and the preferred SQ pressing of Bliss music, featuring A COLOUR SYMPHONY and THINGS TO COME, long recognized on the TAS list as one of the finest and most natural sounding recordings in all of classical literature.

Cover is crisp indeed, with just a tiny note on back.  Inside, the early postage-stamp pressing is in pristine shape.  Near mint, perhaps better in playback.

One of the real sleepers on the TAS list, this record kicks major tail in the audio department, let me tell you.  A very fine recording.  (Just watch your volume till you know what’s here.)

For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
