Description
THE THINGS-45-“Take It From Me” b/w “My Love”-DJ Records # DJ-102-Dynamite & Super rare 1966 El Paso TEXAS Garage-Punk. Very scarce Texas 45-not mentioned in either edition of JOURNEY TO TYME. Both sides are crude and garagy-sounds like Danny & The Counts crossed with Bobby Fuller Four…A side borrows the Byrds’ “Feel A Whole Lot Better” riff-gutural vocal, reverb drenched drums, reverb-laden guitar… great track—B side is more driving garage-punk with re-arranged “You’re Gonna Miss Me” chords-again, pounding reverb-laden drums, reverbed-out lead voacl, off-key backup vocal, great crude lead guitar break. Cool-2-sider.
Condition: Record is close to MINT-Minus; some slight surface marks, very slight not really scratches, but no other way to describe-only visible in certain light angles.
Label clean both sides
